Our Plan A to meet up with Atty Nepo will be delayed since he hasn't updated Sir Pippo yet on their presscon. Thus I along with Sir Pippo propose that we push through with some of our plans. We can't be idle for too long.

Last Team RP meeting we talked about postponing the commercials and lightning plays since they require too many volunteers which we do not yet have. So what we deemed most appropriate is to create a regular email brigade/Cyberspace campaign which we hopefully could start by thursday.

To jumpstart the cypberspace campaign we are looking for someone who can make an editorial cartoon (or something visual that would serve to explain PAIL) and forward it to our network.

To further this campaign Sir Pippo said we have to have a strong network which can serve as our database online. Indeed the conversion rate from those who will receive the emails to those who would actually sign would probably be low so we have to have a large database.

Here's how we could go about the actual email brigades:

1. One proposal is to serialize the email brigades (i.e. there would be a continuing plot that they would have to follow, the continuation of which would be forwarded after two weeks). But of course that would be harder given that we dont meet regularly.

2. Another proposal is to divide the work: first week, the content of the email will be done by me and then after two weeks it would be done by sir ryan, then after two more weeks by ms rhia, and so on.

PS: Who knows someone who can draw for this week? I cant contact my friend who is a good graphic artist...I'll try still....but please if you know someone who is willing...please ask him for the team...we are working against time

And my apologies for the long gap from the last update...the last few weeks was very busy because we had our major project in ACED (Ateneo Center for Educational Development) last week and I was part of the head team.

Thanks in advance!!

hi!

Okay yung suggestions mo, Paeng. Just give me the email then I will immediately forward it to my classmates and professors. I will also ask them if they can provide me contact numbers of other NGOs.

Sorry din for not replying to the group. I'm just really busy right now. Pero it doesn't necessarily mean, I won't participate in our advocacy.

God Bless! :-)

the idea of coming up with cyber space campaign is great.
however, i think that the proposal to divide the e-mail series is not advisable. the overall content maybe compromised if we are to divide it among ourselves. if i may suggest, its still better if we meet before we come up with a collective idea of what e-mail series to produce. in these meetings, division of work maybe agreed upon, but still, the idea on how and what contents are to be included in the e-mail series should be a collective one.

Hi. I recapped the overall strategy we discussed in the Team RP meeting last Thursday, as well as some ideas for the email campaign in my 23-May post (link).

I volunteered to write up and design the first email blast (proposed), my deadline is this Thursday, will send it to you guys and the rest of Team RP core for approval.

Sorry guys, for not being able to join those meetings. My vacation was so long and internet was not serving well in those places I've gone. I'll just try to catch up whatever you discuss on this forum now that I am back...
Rhia mentioned about contact numbers of other NGO's. What does that mean?

Hi!

This is just to expand our contacts. Some of my professors are affiliated with NGOs like Social Watch and ATIN (which is the main advocate of FOIA in the Phils.) They may also provide us point person/ people with regards to the passage of the bill especially in the Senate.

Thank you for your replies.

What is important for us to do is first have a database of contacts we would forward our emails to.

We also have to set a meeting for the content of the emails and the delegation of tasks.

Pippo just texted me that it is advisable for us to have it this saturday before the team rp meeting (9am-11am) at the Conference Room, CCS Building, Social Development Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, QC.

That means we can meet at 730-9am around ateneo na lang po, probably at the walter hogan building just across the CCS Building.

If ever this proves to be too short, we can resume our committee meeting after the team rp meeting over lunch.

So that we can maximize our time polease try to prepare your proposals and ideas on how we can do about this campaign efficiently.
